It's 2023 and James has escalated our retirement plans. This we are finished with art & craft shows, we have sold our Bristol shoppe to a very talented ceramic sculpture artist, Lady Jone has purchased our MN Shoppe & we are planning for 2024 to be the last season we run our AZ shoppe. We are excited to be working with 2 very talented apprentices & hope to turn the AZ shoppe over to them after the 2024 season.

SIZE: Porcelain angel wing measures 1"h x 1/2"w ~1 5/8" from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the charm, all measurements are +/- 1/16" as each charm is individually hand-formed.

HANDMADE: James makes each piece individually by hand at our Illinois studio, or while demonstrating at our shows around the country. Size, color, and swirl design do vary a bit, it’s part of their handcrafted charm. Colors can vary between device screens, but these iridescent color-shift earrings will complement many items in your wardrobe.

OUR PROCESS:
- Custom-blended white porcelain clay is rolled out thin and the various shapes are cut one at a time
- James hand forms each shape over his fingers, slightly doming the front.
- The dry clay shapes are refined by sanding, the final result is smooth and uniform.
- Ceramic underglazes are handpainted on each piece to create swirling designs or highly detailed pictorials
- The rich colors are protected by clear high-fire gloss glaze,
- An iridescent luster overglaze creates color-shifting rainbows that dance across the surface
- The pieces are fired 4 times in the electric kiln as the layers are built up
- The resulting piece is slightly domed, durable, and lightweight
- Our process leaves the back unglazed revealing the natural porcelain
